Badung Regency lies in southern Bali, stretching from the central highlands down to the island’s most famous beaches. It’s bordered by Denpasar City to the east and Tabanan Regency to the west. The regency’s administrative center is Mangupura (near Mengwi).
Badung is often considered the tourism and economic heart of Bali, home to the island’s international airport and most of its world-renowned resorts.
